Investors Title names EVP North Carolina, commercial market | News

Investors Title named Jeff Benson executive vice-president – North Carolina and commercial market development. He will lead the state’s residential and commercial market development teams and collaborate with operations teams to identify and implement strategies that maximize profitable revenue and market-share growth.

“We’ve worked with Jeff as a customer for 15-plus years and are very pleased that he has joined Investors Title to lead our talented North Carolina and commercial services division development teams,” President and Chief Operating Officer Morris Fine said in a release. “We are excited about the focus and experience Jeff brings to the North Carolina market and to expanding the geographic reach of our commercial services division.”

Investors Title’s commercial services division provides customized services, including the delivery of nationwide multi-state and multi-site transaction coordination and other ancillary services to commercial clients.  

Prior to joining Investors Title, Benson served as partner, president and general counsel for eight years at The Dilweg Companies LLC, a real estate investment firm based in Durham, N.C. Before that, he practiced law for 21 years in the real estate department of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, where he served as partner and commercial real estate team lead and represented real estate investors, developers and lenders.

He earned a JD with honors from Duke University School of Law, a master of arts in public policy analysis from Duke University School of Public Policy and a bachelor of arts in history, cum laude, from Middlebury College.
